Today, we are working Psalm 48. Psalm 48 is magically used to arouse positive feelings and certainty of a perfect outcome in any situation, to overcome all enemies, to smile, to reinforce happiness and faith, to stop gossip and slander. Today, I'm going to gear Psalm 48 to overcome feelings of doubt.
So a lot of times what happens is we get really excited about doing something, we might even cast a spell to see it come about, and then we get plagued with doubt and all the reasons why we can't do it. And then that doubt actually squelches our motivation and it squelches our thought form and we feel like a failure because it doesn't come about because we had all of that doubt. So we're going to get rid of the doubt today.
The way we work psalm magic is simple, easy and effective. We take the psalm in question and we speak it out loud all the way through once without stopping. This is commonly known as an incantation.
When we finish that incantation, we go back through the psalm and we consider each verse one at a time and we search for hidden, oftentimes called occult meanings or symbols within the psalm. As we find and uncover these symbols or these meanings, these seeds of wisdom, we try to apply them to whatever the situation is that we've brought to the psalm. And by doing all of that, we're dislodging magical seeds from the psalm itself and planting them in the fertile grounds of our deep mind, where they take root, they grow, they blossom forth and they bear fruit after their kind.
And that's what we're going to do together right now with Psalm 48. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness, beautiful for situation. The joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.
God is known in her palaces for a refuge. For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. They saw it and so they marveled, they were troubled and hasted away.
Fear took hold upon them there and pain as of a woman in travail. Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God.
God will establish it forever. See law. We have thought of thy loving kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice.
Let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments. Walk about Zion and go round about her. Tell the towers thereof.
Marquee well her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that ye may tell it to the generations following. For this God is our God forever and ever.
He will be our guide even unto death. The first thing we like to do when we work psalm magic is to orient ourselves to who it is that we are talking about or addressing. What it refers to in the psalms as the Lord is a symbol to us in psalm magic for the one power, the one source, the one force in all the universe.
Lord translates from the Tetragrammaton, Yed-Heh-Vav-Heh. And so in the King James Version of the Bible every time you see the word Lord it means that in Hebrew it's the Tetragrammaton, Yed-Heh-Vav-Heh. Yed-Heh-Vav-Heh is considered a proper name for God.
But for us it is a symbol of the one power, the one source, the one force, and the one substance in all the universe. There is but one. This force is pre-gender.
It is not a deity that is separate and distinct from us. It is the source out of which we are extended. And we are always at one with this force.
And if we orient our understanding toward that one force that we are connected with and we understand that there is but one force, we come to realize that since there is but one, nothing can stand up against it. And since nothing can stand up against it, one with this force is a majority. And whomever this force is for, nothing can be against.
And this force is for us. And that is why our success in this Psalm magic is assured. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountains of His holiness.
The city of God is Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a symbol for inner peace. When Jesus talked about the kingdom of heaven being within you, Jesus was talking about inner peace.
And the more you can find inner peace, the more you are finding your way into that inner city, that inner kingdom. When it says that the Lord is great and greatly to be praised in the city, that means that if you can find inner peace, if you can relax your body and relax your mind, you and the infinite are one. And you realize that oneness within that peace.
Praise means that you're enthusiastically acknowledging that something is good. So the more peace you experience, the easier it is for you to have that firsthand experience of the infinite. And as you have that firsthand experience of the infinite, your natural inclination is toward praise.
It happens spontaneously for you. You don't have to work at it. The more peaceful you feel, the more you're praising the infinite.
It says greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. The mountain, Mount Zion, think of the majesty of a mountain. And that mountain is within you.
And that holiness is within you. You are as a mountain. That's who you are, meaning you are great.
You're larger than you think you are. You're larger than your understanding of your stature. You are created great.
Your greatness is not something that's established by you. Your greatness is something that was established by the infinite at your creation. So understanding your greatness, this mountain, is not arrogance.
It's humility. Because you're not taking personal credit for your greatness. You're correcting your misperceptions of yourself by considering your greatness.
No longer are you considering that you are small, separate, vulnerable. You're understanding that as you were created, as the infinite created you and continues to create you, you are a great mountain. God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
So the infinite inhabits the holy city. The infinite inhabits the tabernacle and the temple. The tabernacle and the temple that is within the holy city is everything going on inside of you.
So the greater city is peace. The center of that peace is the meeting place where you and the infinite have oneness. When you can realize this oneness, that power is expressed through you.
Since the infinite inhabits that, that's your only refuge. Nothing can destroy you. Nothing can harm you.
Nothing can attack you within that city. You are perfectly safe within that city. I think I'm going to take these next three verses at the same time because they really do run together.
For lo, the kings were assembled. They passed by together. They saw it, and so they marveled.
They were troubled and hasted away. Fear took hold upon them there, and pain as of a woman in travail. These kings are leaders of nations.
Nations are overarching thought forms within you, and those overarching thought forms of worry or of doubt that tend to want to undo your goals, want to undo the good that you are establishing. Those we can see as these kings traveling by. Now these kings are traveling by, these nations are traveling by Jerusalem, the city of peace that is within you.
And they're recognizing, ooh, this is very protected. We can't even bother this city. We're not even going to try because we're going to become annihilated if we try to cause any trouble here.
So that's a great image that all of these thought forms that have always been bothering you are seeing that you're now at one with your source, that you are in the city of peace within you, and that you are conscious of your oneness with this source. And so now they say, ooh, we're not even going to bother with that one. This is too scary for us.
We're going to just ride on by. They saw it, and so they marveled, they were troubled, and hasted away. Fear took a hold upon them there, and pain as of a woman in travail.
They were so scared and upset that their screams were as a woman in labor. And so these thought forms that have been causing you so many problems, these worrisome thought forms, these doubting thought forms, these thought forms within you that are always undoing your good are no longer undoing your good. They are afraid now because you are at one with your source.
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind. So the east is the direction of holiness. And when a wind comes from the east to break the ships of Tarshish, ships are usually carrying goods or messengers.
If they're battleships, they're carrying soldiers. They're carrying something. They're trying to bring something to you.
Well, Tarshish literally means harsh attacking and breaking. Your doubtful thought forms that are intent upon breaking down your good, breaking down your goals, whatever those ships are trying to bring you in order to continue their attack upon your good, attack upon your future, attack upon your plans, all those doubting thoughts, they are being broken by this eastern wind. The infinite now, because we have given it permission, is coming in and undoing all of that because it's not the infinite's will that you have this doubt, these harsh thoughts, these destructive thought forms.
It's not the infinite's will that those be there. But the infinite has to respect your free will. Now that you say, I don't want these anymore, the infinite says, very well, I'm going to destroy them.
And that's what's happening now. As we have heard, so have we seen. In the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God, God will establish it forever.
See law. When it says God will establish it forever, it seems as though it's coming. But God has already established it.
God has already established, the infinite has already established the peace within the city of Jerusalem or that inner peace. Nothing can destroy that inner peace. You can move away from that inner peace.
You can be distracted from that inner peace. But that inner peace is always there when you want to connect with it. You can't undo the infinite's will of peace for you.
But you can distract yourself from it. You can choose against it. We're no longer choosing against it.
As we have heard, so have we seen. In the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God, God will establish it forever. Forever means in the present moment.
That means it is established now. That peace is yours. And wherever that peace is, those doubting thoughts and those destructive thought forms can not exist.
If you're in that inner peace, those doubting thoughts cannot exist with you. We have thought of thy loving kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. Thinking of the infinite's loving kindness in the midst of the temple is what you want to do anytime you're trying to establish change in your life, some sort of positive change.
You want to relax. That's where you get to the temple. And then focus your thought on the infinite's will for you.
And the infinite's will for you is happiness, is joy. Peace, love, prosperity. All good.
And that's the loving kindness you experience in the midst of the temple. You can't help but experience the loving kindness of the infinite in the midst of the temple. Once you're in the temple, meaning once you are relaxed and at peace, the loving kindness is there.
It's always been there. So, if you want to receive that loving kindness, you must go into that temple, which is within you. You must relax your body, relax your mind, and focus your thought, meaning where it says we have thought of thy loving kindness.
You must think of it. You must focus your mind on it. And then you receive it.
According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is full of righteousness. Sometimes the right hand is talked about as being the hand that holds the sword in battle.
In this particular case, it's what the infinite is offering you. The infinite offers you righteousness, nothing but righteousness. Why is that? Because that's how you were created.
The infinite only sees you as the truth. And the infinite knows you as righteous because you are righteous. Righteous simply means right-minded, healthy, sane, at one.
The perfection that you are, that's righteousness. And you can't undo that perfection. You can't make yourself imperfect or unrighteous.
But you can believe you are other than righteous. You have the freedom to think any thought you want to think. Even if the thought isn't true, you still have the right to think it.
But the thing is, is when you think thoughts that aren't true, then you project untruths onto the screen of space and interact with them as if they were real. So, you can give yourself very real experiences of unrighteousness. And that's what this world is, is a collective projection of fantasies and nightmares of unrighteousness.
So, we can undo that by allowing ourselves to receive the truth from the infinite. And the only way we can do that is to relax our body, meaning enter the temple, and focus our mind on the infinite. And it says, according to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth.
The name of God means the quality of the infinite. There are many names of God, meaning there are many qualities of the infinite. The qualities of the infinite include life, soul, spirit, intelligence, truth, love, law, and presence.
Those are the eight main qualities. There's many, many qualities or names of God. But according to the qualities of the infinite, so do you praise.
So, you think about a quality of the infinite while you're in the midst of that temple, in the midst of that relaxation, and get enthusiastic about how good that quality is. And see if you can come up with all of the ways that quality is manifest in your life. For instance, if you're thinking about the quality of life, you can just relax and think about your heart beating.
You can think about the blood moving through your veins. You can think about your breathing. You can think about the fact that you have the facility to move through space, to communicate with people, and to do all kinds of wonderful things.
The quality of life. And you can just think about that in the temple, meaning in the midst of your peace and relaxation. Through thinking about the quality of life, that is a name of God, you are praising God.
You are enthusiastically acknowledging how good those manifestations of the quality of life are. You can do that with all the qualities. When it says, according to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth, sit in that temple and just think about at least one name of God, one quality of the infinite, and how it applies to you.
And then it says, thy hand is full of righteousness. That's how you receive that righteousness. That is your birthright.
That is how you are aware of the righteousness that you are. That's how you demonstrate righteousness, by thinking along these lines within that peaceful temple within you. Let Mount Zion rejoice.
Let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments. Mount Zion is that big mountain. That's the largeness of you.
The holy you. The real you. Not the ego you, which is the small false self.
But the truth about you. That's Mount Zion. You've got to climb up a mountain to get to the temple.
That means raising the quality of your consciousness, raising the quality of thoughts that you're willing to entertain. When it says, let the daughters of Judah be glad, the daughters of Judah represent the feeling nature, the receptive nature of your soul. There's a part of your soul that's projective, and there's a part of your soul that's receptive.
And this is the receptive part of your soul, where your soul and your deep mind are one. When it says, let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments, the judgment of the infinite is judging who you really are. Rejecting everything that you're not.
When you are in that temple and you're receiving the judgment of the infinite, the infinite is only seeing you as righteous. And everything that you think of yourself that's not righteous is dissolved. And that makes the feeling nature glad.
And you'll know that you're doing this because you'll feel better and better. Your emotional state will improve immediately. Walk about Zion.
Go round about her. Tell the towers thereof. To walk about Zion and tell the towers thereof means to step back and look at the largeness of who you are.
Just step back for a minute and think about it. Think how amazing you are. A thought in the mind of the infinite.
The infinite thinks of you. The thought of who you are is an expression of love. You are an extension of love.
That's what you are. Right here, right now. The infinite didn't create you in time and then forget about you.
The infinite is thinking of you right now and that's why you're alive. That's why you're you. Since the infinite thinks of it, the infinite only thinks in eternity.
Therefore, you are eternal. Your body may die. Of course, everybody's bodies die in this world.
But that has nothing to do with you. As a soul, you're eternal. You're not subject to time.
When you walk about Zion. Go round about her and tell the towers thereof. That's how you do that is by considering how amazing the act of creating you is.
How large that mountain is that is you. Mark ye well her bulwarks. Consider her palaces that ye may tell it to the generations following.
If you're considering how splendid you are as a soul. Again, this is not egotistical whatsoever. This is very humble because you're not taking credit for creating yourself.
You're understanding that you are a creation. You are an extension. But God didn't make junk.
God didn't make a mistake with you. You're the unique expression of the infinite. There's no soul that's ever been like you and ever will be anything like you.
You are an essential aspect of creation. Creation would be incomplete without you. But it's impossible for creation to be incomplete.
Therefore, you are eternal. And when you understand that, you are marking well the bulwarks and the palaces of your city. And by experiencing this truth within you, you are telling whatever your intentions are, all of the things that you might have been wanting to accomplish that have been squelched by doubt.
You're telling those thought forms about this. You're telling your thought forms how powerful you are and how powerful the thought forms are. This is why from this moment forward, all of your magic is successful.
And why doubt can't crowd out those thought forms anymore? Because you found the truth sitting in that temple, sitting in the midst of the connection with the infinite, and then stepping back and considering the largeness of who you are. Then you realize that there's nothing that can thwart you. There's nothing that can squelch you unless you give it permission to do so.
And you're not going to give it permission anymore because you understand better now. For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even unto death.
If you're a beam of light emanating from a sun, you're not going to ever consider another star to be your source. Because you know that you're one with this star. With the infinite, there's only one.
So there's nothing else to be except for the creation that you are. There is no other source but your source. And there is no other you but you.
The infinite is your creator forever and ever, meaning right now. Right now, you and the infinite are one. And that's why you are who you are.
You were not created in the past. You are created in the moment, in eternity. And you can't die.
There is no such thing as death in the realm of the infinite. There's only extension. There's only perfection.
There is only eternity. He will be our guide even unto death. You can't live your life in meditation.
Not in this world. You have to leave your meditation and go do your stuff. Go do your life.
So when you are working within that temple, when you're giving yourself time within that inner temple to do all of the things and to experience all of the things as being described in the Psalm, you are connecting with that inner guidance. So that when you leave this temple and you go about your daily business, you are capable of being guided and led in the moment. In the moment, you're going to be guided and led.
And it says, He will be our guide even unto death. It's not so much necessarily talking about the death of your body, but yes, even into the death of your body for the entirety of this life. But also, even unto the death of any circumstance in your life.
You don't have to question whether you can listen to this guidance based upon what is starting and what is ending in your life. You can listen to this guidance regardless of appearances. And you will notice that when you listen to the guidance that is within you, that you are always successful, no matter what.
And that if you're afraid, if you're upset, if you're doubting, just remind yourself, wait a minute, I have a guidance system. I have an inner GPS. I can ask.
I can ask what to do. And I can be guided. And if I need to, I can just go back into that temple.
I can go back into that temple, reestablish my understanding of my oneness with the infinite, and then reestablish my connection with my guidance system. And there's never any time or place where you are without the answers that you seek, the guidance that you need in any moment. And recognizing that gives you such a sense of relief, such a sense of peace.
And you understand that nothing can stand in your way. You are always on your way to greater and greater success. So you just keep coming back to the same psalm once a day until you get a sense of peace and certainty that your situation is working itself out.
Once you get that sense of peace and certainty about your situation, you know that your spell has been cast and you don't have to think about it anymore. In fact, it's better if you move off of the topic altogether and let it work itself out and go do something else. Thank you so much for spending some time with me today.
I so appreciate you. Until next time, Blessed Be.
