Today we are working Psalm 107. Traditionally, Psalm 107 is used for magical purposes such as overcoming drinking and substance abuse, for gratitude to overcome negative situations, for protection while traveling, For healing of illnesses, especially fevers, and it's for any kind of recovery and renewal.
It's a very powerful psalm of restoration. Good health, financial restoration, relationship restoration. It's also great for clearing blocks. It's a wonderful psalm. It's a bit long, but it's worth it. The way we work psalm magic is very simple and very effective. We take the psalm in question and we read it out loud all the way through once without stopping.
We call this an incantation. After we finish the incantation, we go back through that same psalm and we consider each verse in turn. And we search for hidden or occult meanings that lie behind each of the verses. We really work, we build up a psychic sweat in searching for those meanings and then we try to apply what we find to whatever we've brought to the psalm.
And by doing that, we're taking those little seeds of magic and planting them deeply in the fertile grounds of our minds where they take root, they grow, they blossom forth, and they bear fruit after their kind. And that's what we are going to do together right now with Psalm 14.
Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and gathered them out of the lands from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way.
They found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. He led them forth by the right way. That they might also go to a city of habitation, O that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
For He satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness, such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and in iron. Because they rebelled against the words of God and contemned the counsel of the Most High. Therefore He brought down their heart with labor.
They fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of the darkness and shadow of death, and break their bands in sunder. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat, and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing, that they go down to the sea in ships that do business in great waters.
These see the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep, where he commandeth and raiseth the stormy wind which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to heaven, they go down again to the depths, their soul is melted because of the trouble. They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits end.
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then they are glad, because they be quiet, so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. O that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the assembly of the elders. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the water springs into dry ground, a fruitful land into barrenness for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into water springs, and there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation, and sow the fields and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
He blesseth them also, that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. Again they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. He poureth contempt upon princes and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
The righteous shall see it and rejoice, and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. Who is wise and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord. This is obviously a psalm of thanksgiving and the power of thanksgiving to release restoration in whatever our situation may be.
So you can bring to mind something that needs restoration right now if you'd like. We can work this magic very specifically on that. When it says, O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, and his mercy endureth forever, it's very clearly telling us what the Lord is. The Lord is good. Not that this dude up in the sky is a good guy.
It's that the power of good itself is the Lord. If you were to look into your own life and see that which is already good, that is where you have a point of entry to this power. Because the Lord for us in magic doesn't represent a specific deity called Yahweh or Jehovah. That word Yod tetragrammaton, is a symbol.
Which represents for us the one power, the one source, the one force in all the universe. And when we can get our minds wrapped around that idea, we understand why this kind of magic can be powerful. Because whatever this force is for, nothing can be against. It's important to recognize that and orient toward that concept of a universal source out of which everything flows.
So give thanks unto the Lord for he is good and his mercy endures forever. So enduring mercy, that means that there's no problem, too difficult. You aren't going to tap out this power. It's not gonna run dry. It's not like some sort of natural resource that we have to conserve. The mercy means the solving of the problem, the restoration of whatever needs to be restored.
Whatever you brought to the psalm, that's the mercy. And it endures forever. You don't have to be conservative with this. You just lean into it. You can't overuse it. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. So when you have already been redeemed, meaning that you've already had some sort of restoration, had some sort of healing, had some sort of block removed, whatever it is that you're coming to the psalm for, when you've already had that, you want to Acknowledge it, you want to say so, but if you say so before you've experienced the actual physical experience of that, you speed it up.
Act as if it's already happened. Be grateful that it's already happened because it has. It's already happened, at least in the Invisible. The Infinite has already solved whatever this problem is, has already restored whatever needs to be restored. And now we just need it to be released into our experience.
And the way we do that is by acknowledging that it is so, not that it's going to be so. And gathered them out of the lands from the East, from the West, from the North, from the South. Your problem isn't so difficult that the infinite can't find the solution. You aren't so far off track that the infinite is gonna lose you and can't find you.
Wherever you are, you're already in the mind of the infinite. You can't wander off too far and then think, oh, it's too late. There is no such thing as too late to the infinite. So it doesn't matter where you are, how bad you think it is, how bad you think you are, how bad you think they are, whatever the problem is, it doesn't matter.
Because the infinite doesn't know difficult and easy. There's nothing too significant or insignificant to bring to this kind of work. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way. Now, what we're doing here is this psalm is going to give us several examples where people needed restoration, needed healing, needed so called salvation or redemption.
And the first one is about being lost in the desert. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way, and they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth in the right way, that they might go into the city of habitation.
O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works to the children of men. So, there's a little formula. That is being followed, and you'll see it come up again and again. It doesn't matter what the problem is. It's going to show you different ones. It's always a cry about what the problem is, deliverance from that problem, and then thanksgiving for being delivered.
That's the formula. So you cry out, you got to make the first move, then you let the infinite do the infinite's work for you, and then you respond with gratitude. And then it's a done deal. For he satisfied the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Isn't that nice? The longing soul is being filled with goodness.
Whatever you're longing for, whatever you're hungry for, whatever you think you need, what you need is goodness. And it's going to be provided for you in whatever form is the most needed. So if goodness means money, you're gonna get money. If goodness means food, you're gonna get food. If goodness means relationship, you're gonna get a relationship.
If goodness means sleep, you're gonna get a good night's sleep. Whatever you need. Such as sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High. Therefore he brought down their heart with labor.
They fell down, and there was none to help. There's a couple ways to look at this. One is that these ancient people blamed the infinite any time something happened to them. They were sinners, and now they're being punished. And we understand now, that wasn't quite true. The Infinite doesn't punish, but the Infinite doesn't interfere either, because we have free will.
The Infinite will help us when we ask for it, but if we are doing our thing, the Infinite's got a hands off policy. It's the prime directive of Star Trek. If you're doing your own thing, that's creating a problem for yourself, you're going to get the results of whatever it is that you're doing. And then to blame that on the infinite is missing the mark.
It's missing the point, because the infinite's ready to help you, but the infinite's not going to punish you. But we will definitely punish ourselves. And a lot of what we need to be redeemed from is our own self punishing. Another way to look at this is that this is what the Infinite does with the problems, and with the ego mind that creates the problems.
In that way, you can see the Infinite as a destroyer, because sometimes the disease needs to be destroyed. Sometimes the fever does need to break. So, either way you look at it, the Infinite's there to help you, not to harm you.
Therefore he brought down their heart with labor, they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distress. So no matter how bad you've made it for yourself, Whether it's of your own doing or not, but if it is of your own doing, which it's talking about here, just ask for help, and it'll be taken care of.
No questions asked. You don't have to pay for your sins. You have to stop doing the things that are causing the problem, and then use that little formula. Cry out? Get the help, give thanks. He brought them out of the darkness and the shadow of death, and He broke their bands in thunder. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron asunder. This is talking about somebody in prison now. Now we're not lost in the desert, now we're in prison. So, what happened? Cried out to the infinite, the infinite broke open the bars. freed you, and now you have to give thanks. You don't have to do anything, but that's the third part of the formula.
Fools, because of their transgression and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat, and they draw nearer unto the gates of death. This is, again, talking about how we create problems for ourselves. We create problems for ourselves and then blame it on God or blame it on whatever, anything but us.
If we can just be Honest with the fact that we made a mistake, or that we didn't know what we were doing, or that we acted out of fear, or that we allowed our ego to overtake us, or for whatever reason, we created causes that are now resulting in effects that we don't want, that's all we have to do, is recognize that, and then cry out for help, allow it to be handled for us, allow it to be healed for us, so that we can then give thanks.
The thanksgiving is like the sealing of the healing.
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. Whenever we are in trouble, whether we recognize that it's something of our own doing or something that's done to us, the response is to cry out and ask for help, but then we have to let the infinite help us, and then we have to give thanks.
He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions, which is what's going to happen. Amen. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. And that's the ceiling of it. That's how you make sure that your, that your healing is permanent, is through the act of gratitude.
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing. And this is talking about how you can do that more, you can show your gratitude more than ever. Amen. Uh, as well as telling your gratitude. That's where the thing, that's where things like tithing come in to play, or helping others, or being guided and led in whatever way by your own inner guidance, by your own inner teacher as to how you can show your gratitude, rather than only just saying how grateful you are.
You're also going to show your gratitude. They that go down to the sea in ships that do business in great waters. Now there's another example. Here's somebody that's going to get lost at sea. These see the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep, for he commandeth and rays the stormy wind which lifteth up the waves thereof.
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths, and their soul is melted because of the trouble. So whenever you're going out to sea, especially back then when they didn't have stabilizers and things like that in their ships, it was treacherous and possibly fatal to be out in the sea when there was a big storm.
They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits end. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm so that the waves thereof are still. The people aren't responsible for the storm here. They're just in a bad way.
They're in a place that's dangerous, that wasn't of their own doing. It's not quite the same as the earlier examples where it was talking about now you're reaping the results of your own bad actions or your own stupid ideas. In addition to those kinds of things to be redeemed from, you can also be redeemed from things that had nothing to do with you.
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then they are glad, because they be quiet. So he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works to the children of men.
You see here that formula is once again established. Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people and praise him in the assembly of elders. So for a magician, the congregation of the people is All aspects of our mind, all the thoughts are people. So the congregation is the totality of our mind.
This is what we do when we are giving thanks. We don't just play lip service to it. We make it an entire experience for our whole being. We have to take time to extend that thanks so that all parts of our mind are aware of how grateful we are. And to praise him in the assembly of the elders. The elders are similar to the assembly of saints.
Those are the parts of our mind that are so ancient. Thoughts that are so ancient. Older than this lifetime. Older than our personality. These are thoughts that we were created with. This is part of the operating software that comes with the program. We have things in our own mind that we've come up with.
Some of them are great, too. The Infinite wants that, wants us to expand and use our mind. So some of the thoughtforms that we carry around with us are wonderful thoughtforms that we've built over time. Some of the thoughtforms we carry around with us are horrible thoughtforms that we've built over time.
But then there are the thoughtforms which are standard, that come with our soul, and those are the Council of the Elders. So even those thoughtforms are going to be very clear about how grateful we are. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the water springs into a dry ground, a fruitful land into barrenness for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
It's going to give us all that we need out of nowhere, and is going to wither away all the problems out of nowhere. It's going to go through a whole litany of examples of problems that are going to just get dissolved and good things that are going to come to us. So, let's go through them. He turned the wilderness into a standing water and dry ground into water springs.
And there he make it the hungry to dwell, that he may prepare a city for habitation. And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. He blessed them also that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. We're talking about all the wonderful things that are going to be given to you as a means by which you can have this healing that you're seeking.
Not only are you going to get The healing, but you're going to get seeds to plant that are going to nourish you over time. Not only nourish you in the physical, but nourish you emotionally, nourish you mentally, nourish you spiritually. So that you're not always having to cry out to be helped anymore.
Learning how to navigate your life in such a way that you miss all of the problems. That you are listening to that inner guidance where you're being shown and taught how to avoid something so that you don't have to be rescued from it again. Again, they are minish and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
He poureth contempt upon princes and cause them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way. So even the problems which seem insurmountable, even the problems that seem like they have nothing to do with you and you can't take responsibility for them, those princes, don't matter. They're going to be taken care of.
It setteth he that pour on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. You don't have to go out and become, quote, rich. You don't have to figure things out in the world, and become exalted in a worldly sense, and then the universe will take care of you. You are right where you are. Already able to be taken care of, able to be healed, able to be redeemed.
But, remember that formula, you have to start things by crying out, by doing this kind of work. Then allow that healing to happen, and then seal it with a gratitude. And if you go right to the gratitude, by the way, that's the fast track. He setteth the poor on high from affliction and maketh him families like a flock.
The righteous shall see it and rejoice. All the iniquity shall stop in her mouth. The righteous will see it and rejoice. You're righteous. It's talking about you in your right mind. You know you're on the right track when you see the resolution, even just the inklings of it, and you say, yay, thank you, I'm rejoicing in it.
And that, at that moment, all the problems completely stop. Whoso is wise and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord. Whoso is wise, you are wise, or you wouldn't even be reading this psalm. You wouldn't even be thinking like this. And so you will be observing these things.
And you will understand the loving kindness of the Lord. And remember what the Lord is. That one power, one force, pre gender, not a dude, not a lady, pre gender, absolutely loving, 100 percent interested in your well being. And you are a direct extension of this force. You're an individuation of this force.
And this force loves you. And it's through love that you even are here. And remembering those things is wise. And then you understand the loving kindness of this force. Because if it wasn't for the loving kindness of this force, you wouldn't even be alive. Now the fact that we have problems, the fact that we have to even come to a psalm to get a healing, is a testament to the fact that the world that we live in is not the world that we were created to live in.
Because a loving creator wouldn't will this for us. But, the loving creator did will that we be free, because the loving creator did not want to create automatons that were just nothing but slaves. So we, through love, were given free will. And so because of free will and the ability to use our minds any way we want to, that gave us also the option to have problems.
And now we're learning that these problems are not the will of the infinite, and that if we learn how to work like this, not only can our problems be solved, but they can be avoided by learning how to live, quote, righteously, which just means live sanely, live in our right mind. And that's exactly what this psalm is teaching you how to do, in addition to getting you taken care of, whatever you need.
So you just keep coming back to this psalm each and every day, and you'll eventually get a sense of peace about the situation, and certainty that it's working out. You may not know how, but you'll get a sense that all is well. And when you get that, it's a sign to you, it's a communication to you from the depths of your mind that your spell has been cast and you don't have to work it anymore.
You can move on to something else. Thank you so much for spending some time with me. I so appreciate you. Until next time, blessed be.
