“What you don’t use, you lose” is not always true. Possessions, knowledge, abilities, opportunities, and wealth do not necessarily disappear when they go unused. Sometimes they remain with us, consuming space, attention, resources, and life energy while serving no living purpose.
This teaching is not about minimalism, compulsory decluttering, or keeping a perfectly neat home. Something may be fully in use because we employ it, enjoy it, learn from it, preserve it intentionally, or share it. Even something kept for a possible future need—such as a fire extinguisher—has a living purpose.
The real question is:
Am I employing it, enjoying it, learning from it, preserving it intentionally, or sharing it?
When one area of life feels blocked, the same stagnation may be appearing somewhere else within our sphere of influence. By restoring use or releasing what has completed its purpose, we can help reestablish the flow of Divine Substance throughout our affairs.
